A regular meeting
of the Triangle Neighborhood Association was held on November 5, 2007 in the auditorium
of

Howard Sholl, President
of the Triangle Neighborhood Association, addressed the group:
· Thanks to all who attended the meeting on October
25th. It was the largest attendance in memory.
· Motion from the floor: TNA should not write a letter
to Prestige. Motion passed.
· Prestige vote at the October 25 meeting was 16 for ,
32 opposed, 2 abstained.
· Leaf collection for end of November or early
December. We will rake our leaves into
the street. The official word is that leaves must be placed in plastic bags.
· The Board will consider proxy votes. In October 25, two persons left the meeting
early, but placed their votes on slips of paper. The Board will bring the issue of proxy
voting to the full membership.

Captain Maggitti
addressed the group. He was accompanied
by Sergeant Tom Kane.
· Two officers are assigned to the Triangle
Neighborhood.
· Fatality on
· On October 25, there was a car jacking in the 2300 block
of
· Since it is darker sooner now, there may be a spike in
robberies.
· On October 11, there were two incidents. One was at

when listening to music.

elective officials were requested; however, no elected official was present.

addressed the group:
· Frank Joyce said the Halloween Parade was great. Police gave a automobile escort.
· About 45 kids participated.
· Kim and her husband did a good job.

addressed the group:
· 20 out of 30 backups for the block captains have
volunteered.
· They need to get a list from their captains.

Howard, once more
addressed the group:
· He provided Wage Tax fliers from Norm Griffiths.
· Howard mentioned a piece of mail from FHL Bank in

Clay Consolidated School Board, Dr. Andrzejewski.
· The letter will not get into the issues.
· From the beginning, we were told that TNA’s lack of
support would mean no
· Suggestion from the floor: Invite representatives of
Red Clay to discuss the issues with the association.
· Question: There are regular fire alarms at Terry Apartments
and Parkview. Is there a known problem? Answer:
The fire department must respond to all alarms.
· Question: Air conditioner units at Warner and Beth
Shalom are close to residents. Should
both be dealt with under a commercial standard?
· The air conditioner issue was reported to the Mayor’s
Office. Workmen came to fix it.
· This is a quality of life issue, and the TNA Board
will discuss it.

The names of all
those who submitted membership applications were placed in a container for a
drawing. The prizes were three $40
certificates to Domain Hudson, and four $25 certificates to the Washington
Street Ale House. The drawing is an
incentive to pay dues. One does not have
to be present to win.
· First Domain Hudson certificate was won by Nancy
Cantwell.
· Second Domain Hudson certificate was won by Bob and
Jane Tempton.
· Third Domain Hudson certificate was won by Mrs. Basil
Mundy.
· The first Washington Street Ale House (Cherry Tree) was
won by Jason Kane.
· The second Washington Street Ale House certificate was
won by Karen Stuart.
· The third Washington Street Ale House certificate was
won by Bill Buxton.
· The fourth Washington Street Ale House certificate was
won by Elizabeth Wilburn.
· All those present received discount cards for Presto.
9.
Pat Joyce
addressed the group:
· A neighbor at 28th and Harrison Streets had
her house and garden appear in the Good House Keeping magazine.
· John Rago and city workers are looking out for the
hill, the TNA community garden.
· A task force will be set up to review the garden.
· The glass is broken out in the bus stop by the
synagogue.
· At the African monument, the light is out.
· Howard agreed to will pass on this information to the
proper authorities.
